Linda M. Poole
Linda M. Poole

Linda is an enthusiastic appliqué artist whose laughter and humor are contagious both in the classroom and lecture hall.  She mentors those she teaches with patience and the firm belief that "they can do it!"  She has authored three books thus far, "Turkish Delights to Appliqué," "Bended Bias Appliqué" and "Quilted Fairie Tales."

Linda has always felt privileged to have been born into a talented, loving and generous European family who always put family first when it came to teaching artistic freedom and expression.

As a first generation quilter, she has inherited the good fortune of generations of artists, silversmiths, sculptors, poets, weavers, stained glass artistans, writers, wine makers and culinary artists leading to a never-ending curiosity of different cultures.  This has fueled Linda's passion for travel, photography, painting, teaching and sharing her experiences with people around the world.  Linda is the International Outreach Coordinator for the Appliqué Society.  She teaches internationally as well as in our own wonderful country, the USA.  She believes language is never a barrier in the translation of quilts.

Linda resides in Northeast Pennsylvania in the beautiful little town of Milford, known for antiques, writers, artists and summer fun on the Delaware River.

Pepper Cory

Pepper Cory

Pepper Cory was born an Air Force brat and her family moved a lot, mostly in the South.  Fortunately, both parents encouraged personal creativity.  She was destined to quilt but didn’t know it until obtaining a degree in Classics -- and an ulcer -- not very lucrative!  Now Pepper believes in handwork as a stress alleviator and working with her hands is a passion.  She enjoys scrap quilts which combines unexpected colors and she encourages experimentation in her students.

Along the way, Pepper started collecting antique quilts and researching the designs found stitched in them. That led to writing books and designing quilt stencils that are sold all over the world in addition to other needlework notions.  Most recently, Pepper has designed the fabric collection “Shadow Leaf” for Avlyn. She’s written seven books so far and there’s always another in the pipeline.

Pepper’s motto, “Make the quilt and then paint the bedroom!”

Beth Logan

Beth Logan

Beth really, really likes to draw a lot and she kisses her dogs on the lips. That should cover everything…but for those of you who would like to know more, here it is:

Beth has always lived in the Pacific Northwest. She has loved to draw since she could first hold a crayon. In fact, some of her early work was a mural of her entire family, belly buttons and all, on the wall next to her crib. Even after that, her parents encouraged her as an artist.

Beth studied graphic design at the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. Several years later and completely by accident she stumbled head-first into the Art Licensing business, and today her art can be found on all sorts of wonderful products. She spends her days happily drawing and painting in the Seattle home she shares with her husband and their furry family, easily inspired by a few of her favorite things: animals, gardening, and nature.

Beth Wheeler

Beth Wheeler

Beth Wheeler has been a fiber artist for most of her life. She began embroidering by hand at age 5, crocheting at age 6, sewing garments for dolls and people at age 7, and quilting at age 16. Decades of study and exploration in design, color, and technique have led to the development of Threadography TM, an art form that combines photography, computer artistry, and fiber techniques.

She designed her first fabric line at age 9, much to her mother’s surprise and spends much of her time “thinking” in fabric. Wheeler’s art garments have traveled the globe in invitational and juried shows. Her quilts and fiber art are in innumerable private collections across the country. She is the author of hundreds of articles for consumer and trade publications and her 47th book was released in October 2009.
